CHRISTIAN EDUCATORS - KEEPING HOPE ALIVE

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." (Hebrews 6:19a - NIV)

GREETINGS!

Special thanks to Almighty God for an opportunity to serve Him and humanity as a staff person, leading the Christian Education Ministry here at Mount Calvary. I remember being given the opportunity to start the first Sunday School at Mount Calvary in 1964, at our Boynton Avenue location. It is truly amazing when we think about the goodness of Almighty God, and all that He has done for us. We have to shout Hallelujah! We now have 13 Sunday School Classes and 14 Discipleship Classes operating during the Sunday School hour. We have evaluated and assessed this ministry to get a good look at where we are. We have planned strategically to reach and evangelize, along with the Pastor, 700 lost people (new converts) in 2007. We the people of God will do the work. We will be intentional and purposeful. GOD CAN AND GOD WILL!

Christian Educators are under a divine mandate to teach the Word of God. Our Savior has commissioned us to teach all that he has taught us. He has promised to be with us all of the time. We must continue to trust Him to do what He said He would do, and what He can do.
James Smart once pointed out: The church must teach, just as it must preach, or it will not be the church.  Teaching belongs to the essence of the Church and a church that neglects this function of teaching has lost something that is indispensable to its nature as a church.”

Thank you Pastor and to all of the many wonderful people who work with me, and surround me with support, love and care. And so we journey on to fulfill the assignment God has given to this ministry. WE WILL TEACH THE PEOPLE TO TRUST AND OBEY! FAITH to me, says GOD CAN! TRUST to me says, let God do what He can do! We move on now with excitement and great anticipation for another wonderful, bountiful year of service to God and Humanity. We will continue to Evangelize the Lost and Disciple the Saved, which will result in more mature people for ministry. There is a hymn written by John H. Sammis which says:

When we walk with the Lord In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

The chorus says:

Trust and obey For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.
